Located right on the beach at the foot of Mornington Peninsula with panoramic views over Port Philip Bay, Waves on the Beach offers one of Victoria’s most spectacular wedding experiences.

We understand that this is one of the most important celebrations in your lifetime and we know you will have a truly amazing wedding at Waves on the Beach. Our aim is to make your wedding day not only incredible but also hassle-free. Therefore we have formed a number of wedding reception packages to cater for your individual needs. A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT US

As the name suggests, Waves on the Beach is located in Melbourne – right on the beach in a premier location in Frankston. The views from the reception venue are simply breathtaking, and are the perfect backdrop for any special wedding.

Our venue is suited towards more intimate weddings – if you want to have a couple of hundred people seated at a huge venue, we are not the place for you. However if you are comfortable in seating up to 70 people, or holding a Finger Food Wedding for up to 120 people – Waves on the Beach is the perfect venue. Furthermore we have a range of beverage packages, which you can view under the Wedding Packages Tab.

With our team of experienced chefs, we ensure that the meals served will not only look and taste absolutely delicious but will also be of reasonable size. A big belief of ours when it comes to weddings is that no one should be left hungry. We will make sure that all of your guests are completely satisfied.

Another way we separate ourselves from other wedding venues is our price. We offer incredible value. As you will see, despite having more appeal than most other venues, we have a considerably lower price. Unlike most reception venues we don’t feel the need to charge a huge premium for weddings. Our prices are the same for all events. Furthermore, there are no hidden costs – all the costs are outlined in this guide. Hosting weddings is something we really enjoy – we do it extremely well.

By having years of experience specialising in weddings, we make sure that no detail is overlooked. We believe in having constant communication with our clients, and are somewhat flexible with requests.

Every wedding that we have hosted has been an incredible experience for our clientele. We do book out quickly, so make sure you book early to secure the date that you want.

SEATING CAPACITY

Seated Private Event: (3 or 4 courses) If you would like a Seated Private Event, we can seat up to 70 guests with a small dance area. The less guests the larger the dance area.

Finger Food Private Event: (Finger Food Package) If a Seated Private Event isn’t for you, we can do a Finger Food Private Event. We are finding Finger Food Events are the new trend and have become extremely popular. We have the capacity to hold up to 120 people.

MINIMUM CHARGES

(PLEASE NOTE – NO ROOM HIRE CHARGES)

The total minimum charge for a function at Waves on the Beach is listed below. The minimum spend indicates how much you need to spend with a food and beverage package.

May – September
Monday – Friday lunch session – $5000
Monday – Thursday dinner session – $5000
Friday – Sunday dinner session – $7000
Saturday – Sunday lunch session – $7000

October – April
Monday – Friday lunch session – $7000
Monday – Thursday dinner session – $7000
Friday – Sunday dinner session – $9000
Saturday – Sunday lunch session – $9000

Please note – Public Holidays including preceding day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day & Valentines Day will be $10000 minimum spend.

OPERATIONAL TIMES 

Lunch                   12pm – 4pm
Dinner                 6pm – 10pm or 6pm – 11pm

All prices are inclusive of GST.

BOOKINGS AND DEPOSITS

The deposit must be paid along with a signed terms & conditions form at the time of booking. The final number of guests is to be given one-week prior to your function, along with full payment. Any additional costs on the day of function must be finalised that day. Deposits will be taken off the final bill.

The Deposit Amount is $2000

All prices are inclusive of GST. Prices remain as quoted if booking made within 12 months. With any booking greater than 12 months in advance, management reserves the right to vary price at any point up till 3 months prior to function date. We do not accept AMEX, Diners or Cheques. Management can alter menu if particular produce is unavailable – we will endeavour to substitute produce to create a similar menu item as requested.

If less than 3 months notice is given to cancel booking, your deposit will be forfeited. If the client cancels a booking within 7 days or less prior to the day on which the function is to be held, not only will the client forfeit the entire deposit and in addition shall, upon demand of Waves on the Beach in writing, pay up to 75% of the estimated spend.
